WELCOME
The Franconia Rink Project is a non-profit community group working to preserve the tradition of skating, pickup hockey and ice sports in Franconia. In the spring, summer and fall the rink space will transform into pickleball, basketball, a space for farmers markets and more.
Support the Rink
Your donations help support the Franconia Rink Project. We aim to renovate the Franconia town skating rink with an ice refrigeration system, roof, and solar panels to provide sustained ice for skating and a wide range of other year-round outdoor recreation activities.

Rink News

The USDA recently approved our Northern Border Regional Commission (NBRC) grant application, and we are now eligible to receive $475,000 in matching funds for our community skating rink!
Yes, the United States Department of Agriculture is helping communities like ours hedge against the impact of climate change. They want to help us save our skating rink because they believe, as we believe, that healthy outdoor activities in the winter are vitally crucial to our well-being.
Through the Franconia Rink Project, we aim to build our new, refrigerated ice rink with zero impact on the taxpayers. Thank you, USDA, for giving us a massive boost toward this objective.
